CRGC Aims and Goals

1. Produce high-quality respiratory guidelines in a timely manner and improve implementation

  • Update respiratory guidelines annually, while reducing the burden of the guideline development process
  • Produce a repository of Canadian and international respiratory guidelines and key-implementation initiatives (website)
  • Publish a compendium of respiratory guidelines and practice tools
  • Develop new guidelines (pulmonary vascular diseases, home mechanical ventilation for adults and children, pulmonary fibrosis, etc.)
  • Improve the quality, validity and implementability of respiratory guidelines using recognized methodological tools
  • Establish effective dissemination and implementation strategies

2. Produce and disseminate teaching slide decks, guideline brochures (slim jims) and other tools to facilitate knowledge translation 3. Evaluate implementation initiatives
4. Engage target audiences (multidisciplinary approach)
